Privacy Policy for Coding Cubroid AI
Effective Date: 2026-05-27
Last Updated: 2026-05-27
This Privacy Policy explains how Cubroid Co., Ltd. ("we", "us", or "our") handles information when you use the Coding Cubroid AI mobile application ("the App"). Coding Cubroid AI is an educational coding application that integrates with Cubroid Bluetooth coding cubes (LED matrix, DC motors, sensors, piezo buzzer) and provides block-based programming for children and students.
We have designed Coding Cubroid AI to minimize the collection of personal data. All processing happens directly on your device. This document is provided in English; translations may be added in future versions.

2. Summary at a Glance
- We do not require an account. You can use Coding Cubroid AI without signing up, signing in, or providing personal information.
- We do not collect analytics or tracking data.
- We do not transmit camera, microphone, or other sensor data to our servers or to any third party in this version of the App.
- Bluetooth is used solely to connect to Cubroid coding cubes. We do not use Bluetooth for advertising, location, or analytics.
- Projects you create are stored locally on your device.
3. Information We Collect From You Directly
Coding Cubroid AI does not collect personal information directly. Specifically, we do not ask for, store, or transmit:
- Names, email addresses, phone numbers, or postal addresses.
- Date of birth or age beyond the App Store age rating gate.
- Account credentials, social media identifiers, or contacts.
- Photos, videos, or audio recordings.
- Precise or coarse location data.
- Advertising identifiers (IDFA), device fingerprints, or cookies.
4. On-Device Permissions and How They Are Used
When you use a feature that requires a system permission, iOS will display a standard permission dialog. Coding Cubroid AI requests the following permissions:
- Bluetooth (`NSBluetoothAlwaysUsageDescription`, `NSBluetoothPeripheralUsageDescription`). Discover and connect to Cubroid coding cubes (DC motors, LED matrix, sensors, piezo buzzer). Bluetooth communication is between your iPad or iPhone and the physical coding cube. No data is sent to our servers.
- Camera (`NSCameraUsageDescription`). Declared for future AI learning features. In the current version this permission is not actively used. If a future update activates camera-based on-device machine learning (for example, hand or object recognition), frames will be processed entirely on your device and will not leave it.
- Microphone (`NSMicrophoneUsageDescription`) and Speech Recognition (`NSSpeechRecognitionUsageDescription`). Declared for an optional voice-control block which is currently disabled via an internal feature flag. In the current version these permissions are not actively used. If activated in a future update, audio will be processed by Apple's on-device Speech framework; we do not receive or store audio.
You may deny or revoke any of these permissions at any time in Settings → Coding Cubroid AI on your device. Features that depend on a denied permission will simply be unavailable; the rest of the App continues to work.
5. Third-Party Services
In the current version, Coding Cubroid AI does not send any user data to third-party services. No translation services, no analytics SDKs, no advertising SDKs, no remote machine-learning APIs are used.
If a future version of the App introduces an optional cloud feature, it will be:
- Disabled by default and opt-in;
- Clearly labeled in the user interface;
- Documented in an updated version of this Policy.
6. Data Stored Locally on Your Device
Coding Cubroid AI stores the following data only on your device:
- Block-based projects that you create.
- App preferences and UI settings (via iOS `UserDefaults`).
- Assets bundled with the App (icons, images, sounds, fonts).
We do not have remote access to this data. If you delete the App, all locally stored data is removed by iOS along with the App.
7. Children's Privacy
Coding Cubroid AI is intended for use by students, including children, as part of educational coding curricula. We have designed the App accordingly:
- We do not require account creation.
- We do not collect personal information from any user, including children.
- We do not use behavioral advertising, third-party analytics, or tracking SDKs.
- We do not knowingly enable contact between users.
- We do not transmit camera or microphone input.
We make every effort to align our practices with children's privacy laws including the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), Apple's family-friendly app guidelines, the EU GDPR-K, and Korea's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA).
8. Network Connectivity
The App requires an internet connection only for:
- Initial download from the App Store.
- App updates.
All core features — Bluetooth coding cube control, block editor, project save and load, sound playback, LED matrix animation — work fully offline.
9. Security
We follow industry-standard practices to protect any data in transit.
- The App does not export, store, or transmit cryptographic credentials.
- Because we do not collect or store user data on our servers, there is no central database for an attacker to target.
- The App is signed and distributed exclusively through Apple's App Store, which provides hardware-level integrity protections.
10. Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights under data protection laws such as the GDPR (European Union, EEA, and UK), the CCPA (California, USA), or the Personal Information Protection Act (Korea). These typically include the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict the processing of your personal information.
Because we do not collect personal information, in most cases there is no data for us to provide, correct, or delete. If you have any question regarding your rights, please contact us using the details in Section 1.
11. International Data Transfers
This version of the App does not transfer user data internationally because it does not transmit user data at all.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will:
- Update the Last Updated date at the top of this document.
- For material changes, note the change in the App's release notes for the affected version.
Continued use of the App after a change indicates acceptance of the updated Policy.
