Coding Cubroid AI Update Announcement: Enhanced AI Features

Greetings to educators, partners, and all Cubroid users,

We are pleased to announce a significant update to the Coding Cubroid AI application. This update introduces advanced, yet highly accessible, AI recognition features designed to elevate the hands-on coding experience. Whether applied in a formal classroom setting or at home, these new tools allow learners to program their robots to interact seamlessly with their physical environment.


Notably, all the newly integrated AI features are fully functional offline, ensuring uninterrupted learning experiences in any environment.


Here is an overview of the key features included in this update:


01. Face Detection AI

The application can now recognize the presence of a human face.

  • Face Seen / Not Seen: Users can program the robot to execute specific commands based on face detection. For instance, the robot can be coded to move forward when it detects a face and move backward when the face is no longer visible.



02. Pose Detection AI

This feature allows the robot to track and respond to basic body movements.

  • Right Arm, Left Arm, Both Arms, Stand Still: Learners can blend physical activity with coding logic by programming the robot to follow their movements, reacting appropriately when different poses are detected.




03. Hand Gesture AI

The AI can now identify specific hand signals.

  • Rock, Paper, Scissors: Users can teach their robot to understand and react to distinct hand gestures. This enables interactive programming, such as coding the robot to play a game of Rock, Paper, Scissors.


04. Color Recognition AI

The camera can now detect and differentiate primary colors.

  • Blue, Green, Red, Yellow: Program the robot to react differently upon detecting specific colors. For example, the robot can be coded to stop at a red object and proceed when detecting a green one.

05. Bonus Update: Improved Conditional Coding

We have significantly optimized the logic for conditional statements to ensure more dynamic robot behavior.

  • Before: The system checked a condition only once at the beginning of a sequence and continued executing the subsequent blocks without re-evaluating.

  • After: The system now continuously checks the condition at every single block. This means the robot will react immediately to any real-time changes in its environment, resulting in smarter and more responsive coding outcomes.
